Join us on SECOND MONDAYS when I host a premier networking soiree that takes place the second Monday of every month at B. Smith’s. I serve as Guest Bartender for a Cause throughout the evening and 20% of the revenues generated are donated to a non-profit organization.

Each month we celebrate something special—such as the launch of the Get Your Career in Gear! card deck of inspiration and transformation created by Executive and Life Coach Pat Thomas; the introduction and sampling of the new cognac Pour Moi, created by Sheena and Paul Jones and blended especially for women; the release of prize-winning journalist Michel Marriott’s debut novel, The Skull Cage Key, and other exciting new developments on our cultural landscape.

And each month, we honor, raise awareness of and help fund a different non-profit organization. These organizations have included The Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure of Breast Cancer; Connect, an organization fighting family violence; The Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation which provides scholarships to the children of firefighters and September 11 victims; The Brotherhood-Sister Sol, a support program for Black and Latino youth; the Carib News Foundation which funds an annual business conference in The Caribbean; and the Frederick Douglass Creative Arts Center which offers classes in all phases of the arts.

I created SECOND MONDAYS to be a wonderful blend of networking, fundraising and generating awareness for a variety of organizations doing good work. My time is lovingly contributed to coordinate and host SECOND MONDAYS because they are fun and it is a great opportunity to bring people together to celebrate our lives, share information and support a great cause.

B. Smith’s is on 46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, in the Broadway District of our great city, and provides an elegant and fun gathering space. A Happy Hour menu is featured and there is no admission or cover.
